Have someone help you and use a tape measure to make it easier.
Can you put a full mattress on a queen bed frame.
You do not have to adjust the bed frame very much.
Some beds have two metal mattress support bars on both sides that connect to the headboard and foot board.
However it would still leave gaps between the mattress and the side of the bed.
For the bed with a wooden headboard and foot board and two metal mattress support bars check to see if the support bars are adjustable and can adjust from 80 inches for a queen size bed to the 75 inches for a full size bed.
Other beds have a four sided metal mattress support frame that adjusts to different widths to support a twin full or queen size bed.
Only a queen bed frame that uses extensive cross support such as a frame that uses a large number of wooden slats would be able to support a full sized mattress.
Plus many of the full platform beds can easily accommodate a standard queen size bed box which is great.
Since the metal bed frame dimensions are set for a full size mattress you will need to loosen the fasteners and make the bed frame 6 inches wider and 5 inches longer so the queen size mattress fits.
The platform also provides excellent support to the mattress so you will not have to worry about it sagging.
